Unplanned Pregnancy Help — Adoption is an Option
Everyone who is pregnant has decisions to make. If yours is an unplanned pregnancy, these decisions may be very difficult. You may have many different feelings.
At this moment, you are faced with the most important decision you will ever have to face. What am I do to now?
You actually have several options:
- Parenting – You may choose to raise your child with or without the help of others.
- Adoption – You may choose to select a family to legally adopt and raise your child (visit our adoption information page to learn more).
- Abortion – You may choose to surgically or medically terminate (end) your pregnancy (visit our abortion page for more information).
In many cases, adoption is the most loving and unselfish decision an unmarried, expectant mother can make. You see, love is not primarily an emotion (even though most of us have picked up a different message). Love is taking action in the best interests of another person or persons, regardless of one's emotional feelings. As one birth mother said of her choice to make an adoption plan for her baby daughter, “I knew that my decision would be the hardest thing in the world for me. It was about her. It was about what I could give her: a family, stability, a chance for a future.”

If parenting is not for you at this time and abortion is not an option for your either, we hope you’ll consider adoption for your baby and take a few minutes to read our letter of introduction. We welcome the opportunity to discuss your options with you and help you envision a life with our family if you choose adoption for your child.
Visit our adoption information page to learn more about the types of adoption. We’ve also compiled information about your rights as a birthparent.
